HEY, I'M VALERIA!
I am a wedding photographer born and raised in San Diego, California. I moved to Post Falls, Idaho (near Coeur d’Alene, Idaho) in late 2022. I am so excited to capture magical weddings in Northern Idaho and the PNW! I will still be taking limited clients/weddings in San Diego, CA. I am also willing to travel to you anywhere around the world! Aside from capturing weddings, I love capturing portraits such as couples, maternity, family, and branding sessions! Being able to document any and every moment in your life is such an honor. An honor I do not take lightly. But anyways, now that you know where I am based and what kind of photographer I am, let’s get to the real question:

Val, where do I begin? After having my daughter, I was very self conscious. Took photos with other photographers and just wasn’t happy with how my daughter and I were portrayed. When you took the photos of my daughter and I in our mother’s day minis, I cried when I saw the gallery. I felt beautiful for once! My daughter was smiling in most photos which has been so hard to do with other photographers. You could see love when you look at these pictures & we owe that to you!

This was our first photo session and it was perfect. Val made us feel comfortable and every worry we had prior to our session melted away once we met her. Our session was fun and had us laughing almost the whole time. Once we received our photos, we were beyond happy with the quality and service Val had given us. It is no doubt in either of our minds that we will be booking Val again for the rest of our photography needs!

Val was an absolute godsend at our wedding ceremony and reception. She captured the spirit of the events perfectly and was so incredibly helpful and a calming presence amidst all the wedding craziness. By the end of the night she felt like a member of the family, she was as much a part of the event as any of the guests. I feel like that really shows in the pictures, her involvement and the sense that she really “got us” and what we hoped our wedding would be.

Val is excellent! My husband and I loved seeing Val’s work and when we first reached out to her, she met with us right away. After our initial phone call, we knew she would be perfect for our engagement shoot and wedding day. My husband and I are very shy in front of the camera but Val and her guidance made us feel more comfortable and we were happy with all of her work! She is as wonderful as they come. Our wedding was very small and family-oriented, so it meant so much to us to have Val be a part of our family for our special day. Thank you Val!

I’m not one to go & take pictures but wanted to have something to remember graduating with my B.A. There’s one photo that was taken from my side profile, which I usually hate. The way it was captured literally brought me to tears. Seeing how you made one of my insecurities look so beautiful made me so happy. I will ALWAYS remember that. Can’t wait for future sessions! It was honestly such a great experience.
